PickerPerfect

Privacy

You don't need an account to use PickerPerfect, and we don't use advertising trackers.

What we store

  • Brackets you generate: the rule you picked, the results, and when it was made. Brackets are public at their link.
  • A one-way hash of your IP address, kept briefly, to stop anyone from flooding the site. We can't turn it back into your IP.

Email

If you email a bracket to yourself, we send exactly one message with a link to that bracket. We don't save your address: we keep only a one-way hash of it, so we can enforce sending limits and honor unsubscribes. The hashes are deleted after 90 days, except for unsubscribes, which we keep forever so we never email that address again.

If you separately tick Remind me next March, we save your address for that reminder only, after you confirm it by clicking a link we email you. That's about 3 emails a year. Every one has a one-click unsubscribe, and you never need to log in. As proof of your consent we also keep when you signed up, which page you signed up on, the exact wording you agreed to, and a one-way hash of your IP address. If you never confirm, we delete your address after 30 days.

To stop all email from us, use the unsubscribe link in any message we've sent you.

Who else sees it

We don't sell or share your information with anyone for advertising. A few companies run parts of the site for us and handle data only to do that job:

  • Vercel hosts the site. Like any web host, its servers see your IP address when you load a page.
  • Supabase runs our database, where the brackets and the email details above are stored.
  • Resend delivers the emails you ask for.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you're a person when you submit an email form.

We'd also disclose information if the law required it.

Kids

PickerPerfect isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their email addresses. If you think a child under 13 has given us an address, let us know and we'll delete it.

Do Not Track

We don't track you across other sites, and we treat every visitor the same way whether or not their browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.

Seeing or deleting your information

To find out what we hold about your email address, or to have it deleted, reply to any email we've sent you. Brackets don't contain anything about you, so there's nothing personal in them to remove.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date below. If a change affects how we use an email address you've already given us, we'll email you about it before it takes effect.
